A new diving air tank presented in 2021 DEMA exhibition in Las Vegas. AVELO is A lightweight tank is buoyant and can become lighter or heavier by using water from its environment. Its operating concept is like a submarine that adds or removes water to maintain neutral buoyancy. The system is manually operated, reduces the need to balance in different depths.

Patent

A paid patent search was conducted by "HIPUSIT" in March 2020. The search was done in the "PatBase" patent database covering over 105 patent authorities worldwide. About 20 patents were found related to the search definitions. No valid patent was found. According to the information collected we do not infringe a valid patent. In the future we will consider registering a patent, depending on the financial availability and the added value we will receive from it.

Technical Assets

  •                 Mechanical design was done.
  •                Geometrical mock-up was built.
  •               Computerized simulation of depth control was successfully run (simulation  of PID controller with motion equations in water considering breathing and  waves).
  •              Algorithm of de-compression calculation was developed.
  •              Architecture of software structure was developed.
  •               In these days we started to write the software for the system.  

Contact with MAFAT (IDF Development Body) and the "MEIMAD" program

In October 2021, we contacted MAFAT. MAFAT's team received a detailed description of the system and had a zoom call with us (the developers). At his request, the MAFAT team received a project plan.

In a telephone conversation that took place on Oct 21 2021 between the developers and Moti Paeri, a representative of MAFAT, the following were included:

1.   MAFAT team contacted the IDF Navy who expressed interest in the project and a desire to purchase SCUBASAFE systems for the Navy use when the product becomes available.

2. The Navy will use the systems in the training of young divers.

3. Mr. Moti Paeri recommended us to contact the "MEIMAD" program of the Israeli Innovation Authority. This program promotes dual R&D of military, security, and commercial ventures. Attached is a link to the  "MEIMAD" site:

4. The project can be included in a financing plan that covers 50% of the development costs.

5. MAFAT's representatives, who is part of the management committee of the "MEIMAD" program. will support the promotion and financial assistance to the project.

We are currently submitting a request for assistance to the "MEIMAD" program. The request for assistance will amount to  0.5 million USD, of which (we hope) the "MEIMAD" program will cover a total of  0.33 million USD.

We are looking for additional external investment as follows:

A.  165,000 USD  to complete the "MEIMAD" budget for prototype development.

B.   About 150,000 USD to cover the following expenses (as needed):
  • Registration of a company, legal consultant and financial management, etc.
  • Producing of a marketing video for exposure to strategic partner.
  • Creating a website and pitch deck for exposure to strategic partner.
